Appointed as Chief Executive of Somerset County Council on 3rd October 2022, and currently working towards delivering the new unitary council for Somerset that will bring together 5 existing councils. Before this, Chief Executive of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and heavily involved in many ceremonial events including a significant role in delivering Operation London Bridge. This role also included significant work to stabilise the Council and tackle serious finance and governance issues. Previously held a number of local government chief executive roles alongside a portfolio of non-executive board positions.
